Mr. Araz Safarli was born on 10 August 1983 in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan. He earned his degree in Business Administration fr om the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (2004).

He began his professional career in 2005 as an Operations Programmer at Smart System Technology LLC (2005–2007).

In 2007, he shifted his career toward the banking sector. Starting that same year at Bank of Baku OJSC, he held various managerial positions through 2012. From 2013 to 2025, he worked at Unibank OJSC, wh ere he served as Director of the Retail Business Development Department from 2019 to 2025.

With more than 17 years of experience in the banking sector, Mr. Safarli has specialized in business development and retail banking products. He also brings substantial experience in digital transformation.

Mr. Safarli was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Prior Leasing OJSC on 3 March 2025.
